A short list of questions for your provider

Use this list at a consultation in Henderson for skin, laser, injectable or body treatments.

Questions that tell you a lot

How a provider answers matters as much as what they say.

  • Who performs this, and what is their license?
  • How were they trained for this treatment?
  • What device or product is it, specifically?
  • What does a series involve?
  • What aftercare do I need?
  • What happens if something goes wrong?
  • What is the total cost before I start?

Your consultation notes

It helps to treat a consultation like any appointment where you need to make a decision. Bring notes in, and leave with notes.

Going in, have your health history, medications, allergies and past treatments written down, plus your questions. Coming out, write down who you met, what they suggested, the device or product named, the aftercare, and the total cost they quoted. Notes make it much easier to compare providers or sleep on it.

Reasons to wait

It is your face, your skin and your money. You can leave a consultation without booking, and you can come back later.

Slow down if there is pressure to book the same day, if no one offers a proper consultation, if you get vague answers about who will perform the treatment, or if the provider will not give you the cost in writing. To look up a license, ask for the person's full name and license type, then search the Nevada state board for that profession.
